County Required Court Appearance
County Required Court Appearance
If you have received a ‘SUMMONS’ to appear in court, then your citation requires your appearance in court at the time, place and date shown on your ‘summons and complaint’ citation.

  • Failure to appear in court no or before the time and date shown will result in a judgement being entered against you and the points listed will be entered on your driving record.
  • The court date may be an arraignment only. If you plead “not guilty” at that time, it may be necessary for you to return on another date for trial or a final hearing.
  • You will not be able to renew or procure a driver’s license until the judgment is satisfied with the court listed.
  • Failure to appear in court on or before the time and date shown constitutes a separate offense of “Failure to Obey a Summons” and a warrant will be issued for your arrest.
