The Eagle County Crime Stoppers is a citizen and community partnership involving local law enforcement, the community and the media with the aim of solving crimes and keeping our communities safe.
Eagle County Crime Stoppers has successfully assisted the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Eagle Police Department, Basalt Police Department, Avon Police Department, Colorado State Patrol and Vail Police Departments in solving crimes and apprehending suspects.

Each year Eagle County Crime Stoppers receives tips that help solve crimes throughout Eagle County. Tips are typically received on drug activity, suspicious occurrences and are directly linked to press releases sent out through the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office requesting the public’s assistance to provide Law Enforcement with information.
Eagle County Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization that solely runs on donations and fundraising efforts. Donations generally come from businesses throughout the valley via an annual letter, other public safety organizations and citizens throughout the community.

Donations are used for: Tipsters payouts, Utilities (phone bills for our anonymous Crime Stoppers answering service, TipSoft Software for tracking tips), Crime Stoppers Signage, community information, prevention type events and fundraising expenses.
