VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Requirements to participate in Eagle County Jail Volunteer Programs:

To get started, print and/or complete a Volunteer Application & complete all sections as thoroughly as possible.
NOTE: Incomplete applications cannot be processed and may delay your entry into the program and our facility.
Completed applications may be submitted online, dropped off at the Sheriff’s Office, or mailed using the information provided below.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Requirements to participate in Eagle County Jail Volunteer Programs:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid government issued ID (i.e. Colorado Driver's License, Colorado ID, Military ID, Passport, etc)
- Applicants must submit a completed application form.
- Must submit to a criminal background check.
- Complete training on facility rules, expectations, and safety protocols
- Applicants must sign a Release of Liability Form.
- Applicants must not have any sex offense convictions within the past 10 years.
- Applicants may not be on Probation or Parole. Any new or pending charges will need a final ruling from the court prior to any active volunteering.
- Applicants should have good interpersonal and communication skills
- Applicants must be willing to commit to their preferred program
- Must follow all rules for safety and security as explained in the volunteer training.
- Volunteer training is held a few times each year.
- Once your application is received, it will be screened and you will be notified of the next step in the process of becoming a Program Volunteer for the Eagle County Detention Facility.
