Civilian Fingerprints
The Eagle County Sheriff's Office longer processes civilian fingerprint requests. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) implemented the Colorado Applicant Background Services (CABS) program in September of 2018. CABS is a digital fingerprint submission process that reduces the burden on Law Enforcement and CBI.

CCW FINGERPRINTS
Only law enforcement specific fingerprinting is offered at local law enforcement locations for CCW's (Concealed to Carry Weapons) Permits, Explosive permits, OSN and law enforcement background checks. Local law enforcement can only offer fingerprinting checks which pertain to their C.R.S. responsibilities. All other civilian fingerprints must be referred to CABS (Colorado Applicant Background Services).
Law enforcement specific fingerprinting is offered on a first-come, first-served basis at the Sheriff’s Office main location in Eagle, CO.
Law enforcement agencies are no longer required to provide fingerprinting for civil cases.

- Regular civilian fingerprinting needs are directed to register for a local appointment at www.coloradofingerprinting.com.
- Appointments & Online Registration is required. You can choose to be fingerprinted at any of CABS locations locally or across the State of Colorado.

- 24 hour FBI background checks (DO)
- Legal name changes
- Mobile and onsite Services
- Passport photos, notary services, apostille service
When you need civilian fingerprinting the process looks like this:
- Online Pre- Registration (required) - You will need to register through the online Enrollment Center at www.coloradofingerprinting.com where you will identify yourself and the entity requesting your report.
- Convenient Location and Time - Use the Enrollment Center to select a convenient location, date and time for your appointment.
- Payment or Billing Account - After providing all required information, you can pay with either credit card, money order or provide a billing account number if provided by your requesting institution.
- Confirmation - You receive an appointment confirmation with your "Order Number" by text and by email.
- Fingerprinting - Go to the fingerprint location at your scheduled time. Provide the "Order Number" to the enrollment agent along with your government issued photo ID (drivers license, state issued ID, US passport or foreign-issued passport). Your livescan fingerprints, digital photo and digital signature are then captured and submitted to CBI.
- Results - The results are returned by CBI to the entity requesting your report.
- Status - You can login to the Enrollment Center at any time to see the status of your fingerprint submission.

- Location : Inside the Eagle County Justice Center: 0885 East Chambers Ave., Eagle, CO 81631
- Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed national observed holidays)
- Required: A government issued identification card, $15 fee.
- Payments accepted: Cash, Checks, Cashier Checks, Money Order, or credit cards (in-person). Payable to the Eagle County Sheriff's Office. (Please call ahead if you have questions (970) 328-8500 x3)
Law enforcement agencies are no longer required to provide fingerprinting for civil cases.
- If the court orders you to get your fingerprints recorded, this can be done at the Eagle County Detentions Facility (ECDF). Fingerprint patrons are to go in person to the ECDF lobby inside the Justice Center, pick up the phone and speak with a deputy who will assist.
- Location : Inside the Eagle County Justice Center: 0885 East Chambers Ave., Eagle, CO 81631
- Fingerprint Hours: Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 9:00 am & 8:00 pm -10:30 pm, Saturday - Sunday from 7:00am- 11:00am and from 8:00pm- 10:30pm.
- Required: $30 cash fee, a copy of the court order, & a government issued ID.
- Persons with a court order for fingerprints are to print or pick up a copy of their order from the courts (during business hours)
